Zones
One store, several Zones
Shop floor, fitting rooms, a café corner: each is a Zone with its own Schedule.
Shop floor
The brand's sound, building through the day.
Fitting rooms
Their own Zone, their own tempo.
Café corner
Scheduled like a café, in the same store.
Every store
Head office sees every store live in Pulse View.
The day
A store's day has a shape
A store opens calm, builds through the afternoon, peaks in the evening and winds down before close.
One questionnaire per Zone: genres, tempo, mood by time of day, prayer time and the brand. Every Zone kept fresh, updated as we go, as the venue and the season change.

Music licensing in the UAE
Shops from 1 December 2026
Shops and malls are charged on the floor area of the spaces where music is used. Major shopping malls are a separate category, charged on their own floor area. The collector confirms your band.
Where Cloud Pulse stands
Your part, our part
Your part
- You hold the licence, in your own name.
- You choose a licensed collector: EMRA or Music Nation.
- You pay the fee for your band to the collector.
Our part
- We supply the music for business use.
- We help you through the process, at no extra charge.
- We never bill or collect performance fees.
Public performance fees are set by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and are paid by the venue operator to a licensed collector. The fee for each location follows the published tariff band for its category, determined by the operator's own seat count or floor area and confirmed by the collector. Cloud Pulse never bills or remits these fees.
Built for the region
Prayer times, handled
Pauses and resumes
Music pauses and resumes at prayer times automatically, with pre-prayer, prayer and post-prayer windows configured to the client's requirements.
Plays through outages
Playback starts on power-up without staff involvement. Music is not interrupted by connectivity drops: the player holds a local cache and continues playing until the connection returns.
Works with any music system; compatibility is determined by the player only. Pulse App, Pulse Web, Pulse Sonos, Pulse Player, or a per-venue stream on the equipment you already have, confirmed at the site survey. The player is your choice.
Questions
What shops ask
Can I play Spotify in my shop?
No. Spotify's terms give permission for personal, non-commercial use only, on every plan. A shop needs music supplied for business use, and from 1 December 2026 a licence from EMRA or Music Nation in the operator's own name. What the apps' terms say.
How is a shop's licence fee set?
On the floor area of the spaces where music is used, in the published tariff band, confirmed by the collector.
Our store is inside a mall. Who pays?
Shops are charged on their own floor area where music is used. Major shopping malls are a separate category, charged on their own floor area.
Can the fitting rooms play something different?
Yes. Shop floor, fitting rooms and a café corner are each a Zone with its own Schedule.
We have forty stores. Does head office see them all?
Yes. Every Zone is monitored: live Zone status (playing, paused), player status (online or offline), remote playback control, and complete playback and log history. Head office has full visibility over all its Zones in Pulse View.
How long until the music is live?
We build the Playlists in two weeks from the brief. Two site visits are included: discovery, then installation and testing.
